Open Travel Bursary
Graduate and Post Graduate level students/trainees are eligible to apply for the open travel bursary. This award will go towards the cost of travel, accommodation and/or registration fees for an upcoming conference the applicant has been accepted to present.
The award winner will receive:
Up to $1000 for travel outside Canada
Up to $750 for travel within Canada.

• Enrolled at a Canadian university or recognized Institution in a graduate or post-graduate program (e.g., medical students, residents, nursing, laboratory science, social science, fellows and post-doctoral fellows). Students must have completed a Bachelor degree or equivalent. Canadians attending university outside of Canada are eligible to apply but will be requested to show proof of Canadian residency.
• Presenting author for an accepted abstract (oral/poster presentation) at the conference.
• Applying prior to the conference start date.
• Students and their supervisor must both be CAIRE members with current membership fees paid at the time of the deadline.

• Economy return airfare and/or ground travel
• Hotel accommodations
• Early registration fee

• Not previously received a CAIRE travel bursary (VSPR or open travel bursary).
• Oral versus poster presentation.
• Description of how conference participation will contribute to career progression and goals.
• Scientific value of presented work to immunization in Canada.
